More on GPS Satellite Configuration

To follow up on our January 22 post, according to GPS World the proposed 24+3 configuration of GPS satellites will have a significant impact, especially for those of us who use RTK surveying.  Survey accuracy should improve, but even more important is the greater number of satellites in view at any given time.  This second article delves more deeply into the specifics of the new configuration, but the bottom line is that all GPS users should see a notable improvement.  Read more at GPS World...
